Mesotherapy.

As we age, our skin can’t bounce back and isn’t as resilient as it used to be. Stress, sun exposure and impurities don’t help the health of our skin either. Hydration levels and collagen and elastin decline, resulting in sagging, lines, wrinkles and pigmentation. The healthier you can keep your skin as you get older, the better. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Mesotherapy is a non-surgical treatment that rejuvenates the face and neck using injections of vitamins, minerals and other chemicals. Injecting these substances into the middle layer of the skin works to stimulate the skin’s metabolism. The result? Firmer, plumper skin, thanks to the gradual increase in collagen and elastin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What to expect. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Once a topical anaesthetic has been applied to the skin, a series of small injections are administered to the epidermis and mesoderm. Not only will these injections nourish the skin, but they’ll increase cellular activity, too, resulting in an increase in collagen and elastin. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Directly after your treatment at Skin your skin will look firmer and more hydrated and radiant. There may be some slight swelling and tenderness around the injection sites, but this will clear up within 48 hours. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The average mesotherapy treatment takes anywhere from 30 – 60 minutes, depending on what needs to be achieved. A series of at least four treatments at two to four-week intervals is recommended for the best results. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Patients are free to resume their regular activities directly after their mesotherapy appointment. However, it’s best to avoid saunas, steam rooms, direct sun exposure and any strenuous activities for at least a day afterwards. Specific aftercare instructions will also need to be followed.
